In a world where gravity is weak and skinny people fly into the sky, Constantine has never left the apartment he shares with his father Atanas.

A film that will delight you in many unexpected ways. Despite the absence of dialogue, ‘Getting Fat in a Healthy Way’ thrives on its rather unusual storyline and feeds through the absurd moments and rugged setting.

The idea was to tell a love story between a skinny man and a plump woman. To illustrate true love at its best. The gravity idea came up afterwards.

Many questions may come up surrounding the scientific sense of the gravity issues in the film, however while focusing on the bigger picture, director Kevork Aslanyan puts the emphasis on the right elements to keep the film on a lighter note. The almost cartoon-like elements and characters give the film an aloof allure, while keeping the deep Bulgarian culture ads an edge of foreign curiosity.
