Shot on 35mm in the early morning light of British Columbia, “The Leaves” follows a serene and surreal kidnapping story. Luring the viewer along the winding highway, we experience the kidnapping in a strangely beautiful way until we find Mcevoy propped up and buried in a pile of leaves like an object in a museum.
