Erica wonders off into the dark to search for medicine for her wounded father. As she rummages a cabin she stumbles upon two men who grant her cover for the night. But something outside is listening.

Directors Vision

‘The Cold Dark’ is a story we came up with Ville Lumioksa in 2017. It sparked my imagination and I just had to produce it – as an indie short of course. And after 7 months since the first draft of the script we have forced it into reality. What inspired me about the story was the characters. They all seemed so real, with motives and backstory that made me want to see this short completed.

Inability to communicate, fear, paralysis of action and ideologies can contribute to heinous acts. ‘The Cold Dark’ visits those places.
