Director’s Vision for ‘Punch Drunk’

I’m drawn to female-centric stories of authentic, gritty themes. In our post-#metoo world, where film and television have only just begun creatively exploring what surviving and thriving in a female body means, Punch Drunk serves up a bold, brash exploration of womanhood’s darkest corners: casually bleeding out as you pretend everything is okay. That’s what women are supposed to do. Right?

Nora’s experience is my own, reimagined in a single, beer-soaked evening incorporating absurd humor, charming characters, and palatable catharsis.
