When an odd boy is confronted by a bully, conflict leads to a grim conclusion.
Director’s Vision for ‘Weirdo’
In creating Weirdo, I set out to tell a story that is firmly planted in grey. I’m always fascinated by stories that have no real hero and no real, singular villain. Humans are complex and confusing beings. The choices we make can be strange, and sometimes terrible, but they are never black and white. In Weirdo, I want to investigate those fascinating shades of grey and see how the choices people make can create a perfect set of circumstances that can nudge someone in a terrifying direction.
This is a snapshot of a moment in a boy’s life when he takes his first twisted steps toward being the man he will become.
