Director’s Vision

Many of us get rid of things we think are obsolete, including older telephones. When I saw two pay phones resting on long metal supports against the wall of a Montreal subway station, I thought they looked like two tap dancers poised to break the monotony. My imagination took off, and before I knew it, I created this short giving these two telephones a chance at love while putting on their own secret show.

It was my first attempt at making an animation film, and I am both surprised and honored that it received international acclaim.
