Director’s Statement

Several times in one year I actively ignored problems in my life because I was afraid of the pain they would bring, and in doing so allowed I allowed them to become much worse. I realized that we humans are actually quite good at ignoring the painful realities of our lives, and I became interested in telling a story about someone who creates their own tragedy by failing to confront something that really ought to be confronted.
