Identical twin sisters seek to remedy a childhood trauma, but each attempt takes them further into the deep end.
Director’s Vision for ‘Joshua’
After receiving the script for “Joshua”, the vision of how I wanted to tackle it visually and tonally came from my obsession with morbid sunny suburbia and the idea of a greater world between our main characters that was felt rather than seen. The goal was to set the stage with a few bizarre and obscure elements that provide just enough backstory for the audience to draw their own conclusions–and motive as to why these characters do what they do.
There’s a childlike quality that weaves in and out of the darkness that Megan & Alexis bring into their performance and is complimented by the innocent angst of the pizza boy, Joey. All these great performances blend together to create something special that was truly a pleasure to capture.
