Director’s Vision for ‘Gorilla Wants Banana’
Andrew Juncker loves stories where characters are in extreme situations that could be hysterical or maddening depending on the perspective. He also loves blending genres. For this film, Juncker wanted the sci-fi elements of the story and the world to be treated very authentically from a genre standpoint, but let the actual situation the characters are going through be pushed to an absurd point. It’s only funny looking in, or if you’re a gorilla.
