I have always aimed to tell stories of those who’s voices need to be amplified, who have a individual special narrative to share. I try and do so through a unique lens that puts us into the psyche of the subject, and connects us to perspectives we may not have encountered personally before. Esther Eats the Bible is a coming of age story, following a teen exploring their sexuality while facing the looming presence of religion in her life, as well as the lives of those in which she shows romantic interest. A divide between one’s self, and the shame and pressure of society.
