A comedy drama short film set among the Irish community and building sites of 1980s Reading, Berkshire.

In 1989, Irish student Stephen works on a building site, while his girlfriend, Katriona holds down a job in a supermarket checkout and a night shift in a local boozer.

The sleepy rhythm of life is disturbed when Stephen and Katriona’s live-in landlord suggests an indecent proposal that lacks the supposed sophistication (or cash bonanza) of the similarly named Robert Redford vehicle.
