Director’s Vision for ‘Blood for Sins’

“Blood for Sins” is a deeply personal exploration of grief, vengeance, and the unseen horrors that lurk beneath the surface of our realities. The film was born out of a desire to push my creative boundaries with no crew, no budget, and minimal resources—just the pure will to tell a story. Shot over the course of three weeks, often in short 20-45 minute intervals after work, this project represents what can be achieved through passion and resourcefulness.

At its core, the film is about a father’s descent into darkness as he searches for answers about his daughter’s disappearance. But as he steps into the unknown, the lines between reality and the supernatural begin to blur.

With no crew, I relied heavily on my creative partners. Kelli Carroll, who doubled as me in certain scenes and portrayed the old woman, was instrumental in bringing this world to life. My mother also lent her voice to the old woman, helping to capture the eerie and unsettling atmosphere I envisioned. Every corner of this project was crafted with a DIY approach—my room became the set, transformed by flipping furniture and painting the walls to evoke an eerie, unkept house.

“Blood for Sins” is an experiment in storytelling without a dollar to throw at it. It’s a testament to what can be achieved with limited resources, but limitless imagination.
