After an unfortunate incident, a high school senior finds herself in participating in a drug and alcohol abuse evaluation with a seasoned administrator. As they size each other up, a formulaic evaluation evolves into an unexpected conversation.

Director’s Statement

Intake is an exploration of the evaluation process and what it truly means to know someone. The short is about finding clarity and figuring out who we really are. The film takes two complex characters, puts them in a difficult situation and observes as they try to get to the bottom of each other. One character is trying to find answers and the other is just trying her best to get through it.
