Bear Girl
The beloved, time-honored tale of Boy meets Girl-Dressed-As-A-Bear.
You know that feeling when you wake up in the middle of the night and hear a strange noise near your window, and you go outside, and there’s an adult woman, dressed in a bear costume, rustling through your trash? If you said “yes,” you’re talking to yourself.
Anyway, that’s what “Bear Girl” is about. It’s about what happens next, too. Max invites the young woman into his cabin, opens up to her about his recent heartbreak, and listens as she explains to him that she’s actually a bear. They go on a hike into the woods, and she literally eats his heart out. Or, figuratively. Which is which, again?
“Bear Girl” is about what happens when you try to mold someone into who you wish they were.
