Born in Denmark, Alex Poulsen was taken to his first theme park at just a few weeks old. It took him a further 12 years to muster the courage to ride his first roller coaster, but once he did, he was hooked.

Coasters explores Alex’s unusual interest in roller coasters and provides a window into the wider enthusiast community to which he belongs. Shot over 5 days, the film explores themes of childishness, fear and community, and demonstrates how a passion – in whatever form – can help overcome adversity.
