The naked truth about life, the universe and everything.
You’ve never seen anything like this. Studies On Hysteria is a commercial that denim companies can only dream of! Yes the film is in part sponsored by Colorado Denim, but the shear brilliance and the outright outrageousness from the German director combo Matthias Bäuerle, Gabriel Borgetto & Bernd Faaß, will bring you into advertising boundaries, where no jeans have gone before!
Our goal was to create a story where the boundaries between advertising and entertainment are blurred as much as possible in order to produce branded entertainment that is both, fun to watch and also contains “painless” advertising. Consequently, we did a lot of brainstorming.

Advertising is in almost every film now, and more often than not its plastered in front of your face, but these 3 Germans found the hysterical breaking point of subtle branding, with an exceptionally unique storyline:
After some time, Matthias had this picture in his head where a naked crowd is chasing one guy wearing pants and we all went: “Yes! That’s it!”. Gabriel went to a Catholic highschool so he pitched in the perfect antagonist to the story: a priest.

For the directors Matthias, Gabriel and Bernd, the challenges ahead were enormous. It was Matthias that had the daunting task of casting a handful of nudes:
Every movie has its own tricky part and when we had the idea for this project, it was quite clear that finding nudes was going to be it. We all agreed that the protagonists had to be cast with real actors, so the challenge was to find five professional actors who would act for free and naked.

Yes, the nudity is indeed the striking point of this film, but the story itself is utterly brilliant. Using ancient tale and manors of sorcery, with an integration of modern denimism (denim), and we suddenly all find ourselves in a sin that we all feel guilty of.
