A young woman who comes home late one night to find her front door unlocked. A series of strange occurrences then suggest that she might not be alone.
Close yourself in a room, close the lights and enjoy! Oliver Park does a great job at capturing every moment on a cinematic scales and plays the classic techniques at the right moments. A good lesson for young filmmakers looking to create a frightening scene.
I have been writing horror since I was old enough to pick up a pencil. Suspense is my thing and M.R.James, Hitchcock and Carpenter are my main idols. I am not one for gore and blood but I am one for making my films as genuinely terrifying as possible. Vicious was just the beginning. I have many more short and feature length scripts ready to go into production. My next short film ‘Still’ is currently crowdfunding on Indiegogo and is due to hit festivals Halloween 2016.
-Oliver Park, director, Vicious
Vicious is a devilish slice of horror, perfectly shot and brilliantly acted. It draws you in to its nightmare and abandons you in the dark, then finishes you off with a hair-raising final scene. This is everything I love in a horror short—tense, threatening, and yes, vicious—and all I can say is I’m glad I watched it during the day…
