A legendary pizza delivery driver stumbles into the scene of a hitman’s contract killing

Pizza Time will have you finding the most thrilling action sequence from the most unlikely of places. The film is directed by Ryan Polly, who has previously thrilled us with the convenience store shocker ‘Monitor‘. Pizza Time follows a legendary pizza delivery driver as he goes to the right place at the wrong time. When he stumbles into the scene of a hitman’s contract killing.

Pizza Time is an action-comedy film starring Eric Jacobus (God of War, Mortal Kombat 11) and Ben Worley (Plot Device, Old/New narrated by Patton Oswalt). Writer/Director Ryan Polly created the film as a love letter to Jackie Chan and the great action-comedy films of the 1980’s. After being successfully funded as a featured project on Kickstarter, the film went on to have its world premiere at San Diego Comic-Con and has won awards at film festivals around the country.

Aside from its action-packed narrative, the film really surprises us and hooks us through its nostalgic bits. With its 80’s inspired genre the film throws in some neat punches with elements like the arcade room. We also get hints of inspirations from classic films like Home Alone with tiny toys changing the course of action. Similarly, the sound design is a real blast, from soundtrack to the Street Fighter sound effects – brilliant!
