After picking up his girlfriend from a night out at 3am, Jacob and Amy’s relationship is tested to its very limits.
Director’s Vision
I wanted it to feel like we were getting to see a slice of these peoples life that we shouldn’t be seeing. It’s a very personal situation and I wanted the audience to feel like they almost shouldn’t be watching this relationship falling apart in-front of them. With that in mind I tried to adopt a sort of “invisible directing” approach where it should look as if the film doesn’t even have a director. That you’re just watching a real, flawed couple in the terminal stages of a relationship. Ironically, this takes a lot of work and a very talented cast willing to trust you and what you’re doing in rehearsals with them.
