Director’s Vision

Made by an over 70% female crew with a female Latinx Director and Latinx/ queer writer, our film centers around 4 women in a cult who are abandoned by their leader. It’s a story that explores female relationships and our human desire to belong. We have screened at La Femme International Festival and nominated for best director as Women’s Comedy Film Festival Atlanta. We hope you laugh at the ridiculousness of our “moon” cult where, yes, every follower is supposed to get their periods at the same time and have been lying to “The Prophet” for years. But along with the comedy, we hope to celebrate how we believe these women would feel after their leader abandoned them: FREE.
