Director’s Vision for ‘The Von Steins’
“The Von Steins” was born from our obsession with trying to present gothic cinema in a way we hadn’t seen it before. The film’s cinematic language homages horror classics such as The Haunting (1963) and Nosferatu (1922), but at its core, it’s a comedy. We knew that likable characters would be key to making this fusion of genres work, so we landed on a blood-sucking vampire family who are just as funny as they are fierce. We’ve truly grown to love The Von Steins and we cannot wait for you to finally meet them.
