The story of a series of encounters between two strangers told from two very different perspectives.
Director’s Statement
“The Love” is essentially a film about the meaning we assign to chance encounters: is it fate, coincidence, or something else? The film requires the audience to get lost in the two different stories being told and by the end it is up to audience to decide whose perception is the closest to the truth. It has been really interesting to see how people react to the film and I really do want to leave it up to the audience to ascribe it its meaning. But I will say this: part of the reason I wanted to make “The Love” was inspired by seeing too many rom coms where a guy keeps bumping into a girl out of the blue and by the end of their encounters she is obligated to fall in love with him. We wanted to turn that idea on it’s head.
