“The Last Hurrah” is based off one of the best days of my life: the final day of my last relationship. When I decided to break up with my ex to move across the country, we agreed to stay together until the day I left town and to make the most of our remaining time together. On the day I moved, we woke up with hours to fill until our upcoming breakup at 11:15pm when I would board my flight. “The Last Hurrah” takes place on that day and celebrates the loving act of letting go.
