After he fails to get it up on a third date with a woman he really likes, Casey sets off on a 24-hour journey in an effort to find out what’s going wrong below his belt. After a day of brunch with friends, a check-up from the doctor and a boxing workout with an unsympathetic friend, he still feels tense. SOFT is a comedic commentary on modern– often toxic–masculinity that ends with Casey realizing that, this time, being “a man” is actually about being able to admit he’s really, really afraid.
