Two childhood friends, Tess and John, reconnect in the driveway of Tess’s parent’s home. John realizes Tess never learned to ride the skateboard he left with her when they were teens and offers to finally teach her. As the lesson progresses, their walls come down, nostalgia prevailing until old wounds are opened. Will they reignite their connection, or will this be their last goodbye?

Director’s Vision for ‘Skateboard’

There comes a point when we have outgrown our past, but that doesn’t make saying goodbye any easier. Skateboard is the impossible goodbye, the goodbye that you cannot say. I hope Skateboard allows you to experience the hopeful nostalgia of youth and walk away with the assurance that regardless of how life has changed, “it hasn’t finished playing out.”
