A man copes with being left behind by a loved one and makes a decision.
Director’s Statement
This story is very personal and has been really important for my to tell because I think the feeling of being left behind in some way is something every person can relate to. And since this is such a universal theme I wanted to tell it the most universal way, to make it accessible for everyone. This is why there is not a single word of dialogue in the film. By making this essentially a silent movie I feel like everybody can experience it the same way without the barrier of language which makes use of the greatest gift of filmmaking – which is getting people together to share a very intimate experience and show them your own personal view on the world.
