Portrait of a Rocker: B-Side is a proof of concept short that celebrates classic rock and examines the conviction required to be great. A bombastic music executive, Eddie Chapman, seems to be fresh out of luck in finding new talent. Stumbling into a bar on an open mic night, he hears a cover band’s set and immediately knows he’s found something unique, the band just doesn’t know it yet. What follows is a back and forth as Eddie battles to keep the boys’ attention and educate them on what they could be. The short focuses on a moment in time vital not only to musicians but any artist looking for a start.
