“Oh, Bouy” is a two-part fine art project that explores my recovery from being raped. Volume 2 serves as a visual statement piece regarding the need to involve more men in discussions of rape culture. Through spoken-word poetry, Jackson Katz’s “Violence Against Women—It’s a Men’s Issue” Ted Talk, and a wide visual landscape of different people affected by issues of men’s violence, the film calls for everyone to hold the people in their lives with power accountable for sustaining rape culture.
