Director’s Vision
For 5 years, I have worked on and off in the social work sector. I engaged in several spheres of social justice including mental illness, poverty, homelessness and child custody. This piece is the embodiment of the tensions that are uncovered through one’s journey in the field. It’s about the moralization of poverty, hidden pains, and a world that is slowly turning its back on those in need. I hope this no budget short film helps spark a conversation about the countless people lost in the system.
