“Hi, Mom” is the portrait of a 25 year old in crisis. For June, nothing seems to be going right. Romance is dead. Self love is a myth sold by lotion and candle companies. And no matter how hard June tries, everything feels like an uphill battle that she’s definitely gonna lose. Shot in Brooklyn, NY, by first time director Tij D’oyen, the film is a love letter to our 20’s; full of bad decisions, too many cigarettes, and lots of manic phone calls to mom.
