Josie struggles to navigate the day of her mother’s funeral on an empty stomach.
Director’s Vision for ‘Good Cry’
Good Cry is a portrait of a character navigating her expectations of how to grieve. It’s a small moment in time that she will always remember. She tries to escape the landscape of her own turmoil. This film plays in a world where people long for connection, but they may never quite get there. That longing is what I wanted to explore, because it’s just as comedic as it is tragic, and it’s our choice to face it alone, or with each other.
