Two best friends are propositioned by a beautiful stranger in a bar. They try their hardest to push their comfort zone to have a sexy night with him, but their competitive nature inevitably gets in the way.

Director’s Statement

After a year of collaborating with Rosababy Comedy behind the camera, I started to fall in love with their brand of offbeat comedy. I decided it was time to start stepping into the director’s chair, and I chose this weird little script to be my first short with Rosababy. Essentially “Be Sexy” came out of a conversation with the writers on just how awkward it would be if they ever actually attempted to have a threesome together. I wanted to tap into their competitive nature as performers, and focus on the absurdity of what is supposed to be a very sexualized encounter. I tried to create a visual language that would provide comic relief from the awkwardness of the situation.
