Toby thinks he can make things disappear into the darkness of his attic, maybe even his stepfather.

Director’s Vision

This film is an homage to Hitchcock and Spielberg, with a touch of Stephen King’s storytelling. I like movies that show but don’t tell and I wanted to create a film that drew on this through the point of view of a child. I knew that the audience’s imagination is more powerful than any creature or entity that I would create. I chose to use the dark void in the attic as a way to spark the imagination of the audience.
