Petty Cash follows the story of a Latina bartender working at a casino in upstate NY, suffering under immense pressure from her oppressive boss in order to keep her job. On top of it all, she must suddenly choose between the life she’s planned for all along or deciding to sacrifice it all, so that her younger brother may live.

The characters in this film must fight just to make it by, especially while being isolated in an already isolated community. This story reflects the reality of living in a wealthy area as a person of color: life as an outsider.
