A short film about who we are, where we come from, and where we are heading; it’s a journey from stardust to singularity.

Edifice‘ is an artistic cinematic peace from creative film director Ash Thorp, one of the wonderful minds who brought us one of our favourite ever Sci-Fi concepts ‘Lost Boy‘, as well as a loaded background as an artistic director on some highly notable feature films. It is from no doubt that when we started seeing bits and pieces teaser from this new short, we were glued from excitement. The film perhaps didn’t garnish the grandiose storyline we were anticipating, but were we ever entranced by its cinematic appeal.

Edifice is an experimental short film inspired by personal beliefs of who we are, where we come from, and where we are heading; it’s a journey from stardust to singularity. This purely cinematic film is intended to stimulate your mind and senses, while provoking further thought about our passage and presence in this world.

This is certainly the type of film that makes you stop and think, but at the same time lets you get lost in your own mind while following these exhilarating visuals. A big part of the film is the mood set by the incredible soundtrack scored by Ben Lukas Boysen, which fluently allows the visuals to mesh into one memorable experience.

Anytime someone can put up a 100 minute making-of video on a 7 minute short, you know they put in a ton of passion and thoughts behind every single shot in the film. This is a real bonus treat from Ash, we highly suggest to take the time to go through it all.
