The Ball follows a teen girl named Pearlie as she eagerly awaits her boyfriend to pick her up for the famous town ball. However, while getting ready, Pearlie begins to suspect that a sinister force is trying to prevent her departure. Inspired by the work of artists like Edgar Allan Poe and Courtney Love, The Ball takes Count the Clock’s signature “Pop-Horror” aesthetic and sets it in the distant past.
