A sarcastic and entitled man stumbles into the mysterious past of a condemned building in old-town Portland.
Director’s Statement
My aim with SHANGHAI FADERS was to make a creepy for creepy’s sake kind of genre homage to the classic TWILIGHT ZONE and NIGHT GALLERY series that I’ve always adored. While drawing further inspiration from old town Portland’s actual history with shanghaiing.
Shot over a rainy weekend in December with the help of an all volunteer crew of friends and colleagues that I can’t thank enough for being involved. I only hope any audience the film finds has fun watching it and gets a scare or two. I love this stuff!
