This video is a joyful expression of isolation and loneliness. Director Cara Engh was inspired by found-footage horror and the excesses of disco stylings. Adding layers to the feeling of isolation, the video was shot, in DIY fashion befitting both the director and the artist, in the same house that inspired the song. Expressive color and Brooksie’s unique movement contrast the moody tone underpinning the piece, finding delight in a dark place.
