A troubled father to be heads to Mexico days before his baby is due, to get some well needed solitude and compose himself for what’s ahead.

His plans fall apart when he gets caught in a riptide and dragged out to sea, haunted by the endless water and visions of what he’s left behind.

Directors Statement

The film is loosely based on an event that happened to the Music Composer of the film on that actual reef.

He thankfully survived it, but the experience stayed with him for a long time and inspired me to make the film.

I had also had a scary experience fighting an outgoing tide in Indonesia with my wife, so I could empathize with the fear.

Plus I had my first child on the way at the time of writing so those insecurities crept into the story too.
