What does it mean to belong in today’s world? With geographical lines blurring and everything and everyone just a click away, Identity is a short film that tells the story of confusion and figuring out the answers to belonging somewhere.
In a world where we’re all ‘global citizens’ this short film is an artistic endeavour to question the question we all ask strangers ‘Where are you from?’

Directors Vision

A theme I have always gone back to in my personal work is identity. An alien to having roots or calling one place a home, I’ve always wondered if the idea of belonging somewhere was simply conditioning. My struggle to answer the question of ‘where you’re from?’ has always stumped me. With identity, I wanted to find the voices of others that perhaps felt the same way and felt lost with the idea of belonging to a geographical location or wore their citizenship as their identity.
