School shooting survivor Sadie, her mother Terry, and Sadie’s best friend Elyse struggle to reconcile the night before the rest of Sadie’s classmates return to school without her.

Director’s Statement

When media coverage of a shooting takes place we often lose focus on the survivors, especially those who suffered injuries. I wanted to focus on the the toll a school shooting takes on a survivor and their loved ones and what we usually don’t see in the news. It saddens me that we still need to discuss school shootings, but I hope that Hair Trigger can help start conversations about this still timely topic.
