We’ve all had a night like Katie’s. You wake up with that ball of shame tearing up your stomach, unable to remember where it came from or how it got there. You know you’ve done something horrible, but can’t quite put your finger on it.The lucky ones can leave it at that, an embarrassing memory that nobody will ever remember. But in the days of overnight viral stardom, it’s hard to be that lucky. Hilarious, right?!

Girls Night was first inspired by a J-Pop music video and conceived around the challenge of telling a wild story within the strict confines of a smartphone. The movie was shot on an iPhone 8 using Filmic Pro, which Sean Baker and DP Radium Cheung used to shoot their feature film Tangerine. We had a ton of fun (and challenges) making this film and hope you enjoy!
