“Final Callback” follows an actress into a Kafkaesque audition that pushes her to the limits of her sanity to land the lead role in a feature film.
Director’s Statement
FINAL CALLBACK is a short horror-comedy loosely inspired by a nightmare audition that I had. I wrote it specifically for some of my favorite New York performers: Mirirai Sithole (Black Mirror, Russian Doll), Geraldine Singer (Get Out, 21 Jumpstreet), Dana Berger (Orange is The New Black), Rita Rhen (The Producers), Dave Ebert (Master of None), Gary Mahmoud (First Reformed, The Sinner), and Robert Aberdeen (Lee Daniels’ The Butler). We had a miracle of timing with this cast and crew and were able to produce it over the course of just nine hours in a theater space in midtown Manhattan.
