Director’s Note

Fight Night was one of those scripts that I had in a folder for months. When two of my close collaborators pushed me to make a short film during a hectic weekend, we decided this was a short that was both doable and a perfect showcase for our comedic lead.

On a day’s notice, and a night of prep, it was up to me to both Direct and DP the film. Fight Night was an excellent opportunity for me to try out a new HDR profile called Hybrid Log Gamma, which to my knowledge has never before been used on a narrative film.

The short rides on the perfectly bifurcated performance of Luke Persiani as he beautifully pits two very contrasting brother’s against one another.
