Two up and coming actors find themselves in a world that increasingly begins to resemble the film that they are soon to be a part of.
Director’s Vision
The special time we all are a part of, with a pandemic spreading across the world, has given me time to think. As a result of this I got the idea “Far From Now” – A story about a time many thought only existed in cinema.
In “Far From Now” we follow two actors that under an ongoing crisis gets perspective – Perspective on what they really have gotten into when they have left their homes to go abroad and shoot a big feature. Perspective on which place they really have in the world. The film they’re about to shoot will eventually be rewritten as a result of the situation. A situation that increasingly begins to resemble the film that they are soon to be a part of.
The actors to the characters Doc And Peggy White have not yet met and will not be able to do that due to the present situation. But that doesn’t stop them from very quickly finding a unique relationship when they both comes to the insight that they’re far from home with a script they don’t really like after all.
I want to portray a new way of finding friendship. I want to portray what loneliness does to you. But above all, I want to take a time of worry and do something creative with it. When the film industry stod still and everyones schedule over a night cleared up I saw the opportunity to gather a group of talented people, with the intension of together telling a story that captures some of the many emotions and thoughts that go through a person in times like this.
