Director’s Statement

The genesis of the idea happened when I was watching a talk show and wondered to myself what happens back stage between guests. I believe filmmaking is intrinsically linked with curiosity and exploration. In this politically divisive climate, I wanted to paint a raw human portrait that felt earnest and without an agenda. I wanted the camera to serve as a type of voyeur, looking in on a deeply intimate conversation that we usually aren’t afforded to in real life.
