Director’s Statement

CAR PARK LOVE NOTE is about unleashing your inner romantic and finding love in unusual places. There is something thrilling about getting to watch someone in a private moment where they are rehearsing how they want to articulate the way they feel. I think the film has alot of heart and humor but with a sensibility that is unexpected for a romantic comedy. CAR PARK LOVE NOTE’s style has more in common with a heist film than it does your average romantic comedy. I wanted to make something that played around with the expansion and compression of time so that you get to be in our lead character’s head in the build up to this key moment he has been waiting for.
