Hard Feelings explores the process of grieving and forgiving in a physical fashion.

From the cocoon into a butterfly, back into the cocoon. Metamorphosis happens more than once. Alicia Moffet interprets a fragile and vulnerable character who tries painfully to get to her safe space, her cocoon.

Director’s Vision for ‘Hard Feelings’

Alicia and I talked about what she was thinking about when performing the song and it was clear that we wanted to represent how painful it is to get back to that safe space we need to get to in order to grieve and pardon. I noted a few lines from a poem that I read from Billy Chapata a few weeks back and we went from there.

I had to bury many versions of myself to become the person I am today.
