During the Battle of Waterloo, a soldier’s wife (Oscar and BAFTA-nominee Jessie Buckley) searches for her missing husband in the nearby forest and resorts to desperate measures to survive. It is a queer love story based on historical research, championing women, queer and trans people on the battlefield.
