HERE IS NOW is a story is about a couple, Jessica and Michael who have been married for 14 years. It is Jessica’s 42nd birthday and Michael has thrown her a surprise birthday party. Whilst immersed in the day of celebration, Jessica is confronted with the state of her marriage, and questions the choices she has made that have lead her to this moment in time.

HERE IS NOW is a short film that was inspired by a theory that the cells in our bodies are renewed every 7 years and that we are in a continuous flux of change. Our physical selves are becoming new, yet our memories always remain.

Although this change can be strange and exciting for an individual; there is a constant tension between past and present, what we hold dear from long ago, and what must be left behind in order to move forward.
